Emily Conrad

Emily Conrad is a snowboard coach who specializes in the mental side of riding. The part that often holds riders back even when their physical skills are capable.

Her work is shaped by her own experience learning emotional tools through therapy. As a result, she applies these tools within snowboard coaching. Emily helps riders understand what’s happening mentally when fear, nerves, or hesitation show up on snow. Then, she teaches them how to work with those responses instead of fighting them.

She believes snowboarding is as much about awareness and trust, as it is about technique.

How Emily Coaches

Emily’s coaching focuses on creating clarity around mental responses on snow.

She works with riders on:

success

fear and hesitation in steeper or unfamiliar terrain

Confidence

performance nerves during camps, competitions, or new situations

decision

building confidence and self-trust

mission

emotional regulation while riding

understanding why the body reacts the way it does

Her approach is calm, practical, and grounded.

Rather than trying to “push through” fear, Emily helps riders slow things down, recognize patterns, and build confidence step by step.

Progress feels manageable — not overwhelming.

Working with Emily at Altitude Attitude

Emily works with Altitude Attitude on camps, coaching programs, and competitive team support where mental performance plays a key role in progression.

She is brought in intentionally to support riders who are:

  • Stepping into new terrain
  • Returning after time off or injury
  • Navigating fear or hesitation
  • Competing for the first time
  • Feeling mentally stuck despite physical ability

Her work complements technical coaching by helping riders feel more grounded and capable on snow.
