About Kendall

Kendall is an AASI Level 3 certified snowboard instructor with over five years of experience teaching riders of all ages, skill levels, and abilities.

Their coaching is grounded in a technical understanding of movement, helping riders build efficient, repeatable habits that translate across terrain and conditions. They focus on creating a supportive learning environment while helping riders make steady, measurable progress.

In addition to their work with Altitude Attitude, Kendall coaches with the adaptive program Achieve Tahoe, supporting riders and skiers with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. They are driven by facilitating snow experiences for marginalized identities and increasing access to mountain environments.

Coaching Approach

Kendall’s coaching is technical, clear, and progression-focused.

What Kendall focuses on:

success

Movement patterns and body positioning

Confidence

Technical feedback that translates on snow

decision

Confidence built through understanding

mission

Progression across different terrain and conditions

Breaking skills into manageable steps.

They help riders understand how small adjustments impact balance, control, efficiency, and confidence, with an emphasis on building strong fundamentals that hold up across different terrain and meet individual goals.

Rather than rushing progression, Kendall prioritizes consistency and celebrates small milestones throughout the learning journey.

“I focus on helping riders understand what they’re doing and why. This way progression feels clear, achievable, and grounded in real movement.”

Working with Kendall at Altitude Attitude

Kendall coaches with Altitude Attitude across camps, trips, and select coaching experiences where their technical, movement-focused approach best supports rider goals and terrain.

They are brought in intentionally — based on location, conditions, and program needs — and bring experience working with a wide range of riders, including through their work with the Achieve Adaptive Program. This allows them to adapt communication, pacing, and progression to meet each rider where they are and facilitate an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Riders working with Kendall can expect clear, actionable feedback, a focus on efficient movement patterns, and steady, structured progression (while still having fun – obviously). Their coaching emphasizes understanding how and why movements work — building confidence through consistency rather than guesswork.

Riding Style & Terrain Focus

Kendall’s riding blends all-mountain and freestyle. They enjoy everything from riding switch, carving, steeps and bumps, to trees.

They bring a strong understanding of how movement translates across different environments—from jumps and features to natural terrain and deeper snow.

This allows them to help riders build skills that carry over, whether working on freestyle fundamentals, navigating variable terrain, or developing confidence in powder.
